I came here barely alive, hopelessly alcoholic after years of heavy daily drinking. Going on 15 months sober. I wouldnt be here if it wasn't for them. I thought I'd need a 30-day program after, but i felt so much better by day 5 that I resolved to not drink again, and still havent. They have the drug cocktail down to a science, I barely felt any serious withdrawls. The nurses are very attentive albeit DMV-ish at times, which is a good thing in that context. The staff is very kind and caring, experienced and understanding. No nurse ratchet here. You will be frustrated by some of their institutional policies, but they do a good job explaining why those policies are in place without being overbearing or condescending. The reasons I gave it 4 stars, not 5. This is not an indictment but constructive criticism, and a warning about what to expect if these issues matter to you: The food seems to be mostly cooked off site and reheated. It's stale institutional slop, with processed food snacks left out. Nothing on the menu is fresh or natural. I had some food sensitivites and they had trouble wrapping their heads around it. I ended up mostly eating fruit cups and bagels with cream cheese. You cannot order food in. This policy is in place because people will try to sneak things in and this facility does take on patients who are there against their wishes via parents, employment deal, or court order. If you're running a detox, you may want to consider serving healthier food? Fresh fruit instead of canned? some high fiber grains? real meat, not frozen food? I brought this up. Hopefully they fixed it. There wasn't much to do there. They had a room full of movie theater seats with a flatscreen, a broken guitar, some supermarket books, AA stuff, and a set of chairs outside. Mostly you sit around and talk, watch tv, or sleep. It's a small property but you can walk laps. There's no counseling at the detox. Some AA volunteer groups shows up once in a while to talk. It may be helpful for some. There should be an on site counselor that does that job full time. Everyone else has their own specific job and sitting down and talking to people 1 on 1 didnt seem to be part of the description. They seem to be focused entirely on the medical detox aspect of the process. If you need rehab, you do that after, or find a rehab that does detox on site.

September 19th of 2017 I checked into Briarwood after another failed attempt to handle my substance abuse issue on my own. It was a great place to start my recovery journey and I’m so grateful because thanks to their help, that was the last day I used or drank. Unlike some other detoxes, this is not a hospital setting, but they still have nurses there available all the time. So it felt more comfortable (as comfortable as detox can be). The staff were all very attentive and kind. Counselors were accessible and I appreciated the fact that they set you up with a plan. My only advice is to take suggestions, these people know what they are doing and truly care and want clients to succeed. They were able to coordinate a transition into residential treatment for me which helped me stay sober long term. Thank y’all for giving me my life back!

Briarwood definitely surpassed my expectations. I've been to a detox facility before, unfortunately, so I can honestly say I wasn't looking forward to having to go through the process again. But, it was seamless. I was well taken care of. I truly thought that the staff cared about me and my well being from beginning to end. The facility was clean and the food was good. I was extremely comfortable and the atmosphere was laid back and conducive to my recovery. I'm coming up on 60 days sober and I don't think I'd even be alive right now if it weren't for this place.

I would like to thank Jasmine and Lisa for being such supportive and amazing group leaders. Their real and raw counseling has been such a huge part of my success with sobriety. I did not even want to leave even after my 24 sessions was up. I highly recommend both of these ladies to be a part of your recovery too. I am forever grateful. - Taylor

I wanted to thank Nova for all the support and help in getting me on the path to my recovery. It has changed my life and I can honestly say that it helped me discover myself. I want to specifically thank Rita Kent and Dr. Wilson.

This review has been a long time coming and I apologize for how late it is, but I want to thank Mr.Becks and the team at Flourishing recovery for their help and support during a time when I needed it more than other. Flourishing and their team didn't have to be as thorough in providing me the help and resources I needed but because they truly cared for my well being they made a way for me to be part of their program and my life has been all the better. Treatment isn't easy and they fully understand that, but these guys and what they can do for those in need of help is worth it. Even now almost two years later I still remember what I learned here and use the healthy information they gave me to make better decisions and not fall into previous behaviors.

I came to flourishing foundations directly out of a detox center where I had the worst experience. After 10 days, I was still shaky and had to hold on to things in order to walk. I came here to FF and they took care of me immediately! They put me on a longer taper, which is what the provider at the Previous detox center should have done. And not only that, the staff is absolutely amazing! Kaitlyn, Tasha, Susan, Becks, Nico, and all of the temporary weekend nurses are absolutely wonderful. They genuinely care for you and want to get you well. I recommend this facility to anyone who is struggling With addiction.

This place is AMAZING!! The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The program is very well put together and informative. We went over; cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and taking the right steps to a healthy recovery. I highly recommend this program!

As a provider of transitional and sober living accommodations, we have worked in a close partnership with Flourishing Foundation Recovery for over a year now housing graduates of their program. What sets them apart is the exceptional level of dedication and preparedness they instill in their participants. The individuals we receive are not merely sober; they are equipped with critical life skills, vocational focus, and a profound sense of accountability. We consistently observe that graduates integrate quickly into shared, peer living, demonstrate a deep commitment to their ongoing recovery, and possess the stability necessary to pursue educational and employment goals. The structure of Flourishing Foundation Recovery program directly translates into tangible, long-term success for the residents we house. Our partnership confirms that they are dedicated to foundational change and preparing individuals not just for sobriety, but for a meaningful and productive life beyond treatment. Been through Briarwood? Your opinion matters
If you are an alumnus, a review is the most useful thing you can leave behind — it is what the next person reads at two in the morning while they are deciding whether to call.
How these were chosen, so you can discount them properly
These are real Google reviews, pulled from our listings and shown with the reviewer's own name and a link to the original. We have not written or edited any of them.
They are a selection, though, and you should read them that way: we show reviews of four stars and above that are long enough to say something. That means the ratings above — including Austin's 4.5 — are the honest number, and the quotes are the better end of it. Follow the "read all on Google" link on any location to see everything, including the reviews we did not put here.
